The end of the Six Weeks is upon us! If you have not taken the Six Weeks Test, the last day for that is Friday (not after school though!). I will have (close to) final progress reports on Thursday. If you see ANY thing that seems incorrect, please see me or email me before the weekend as I will be out of town through Monday. One down, five to go!
I apologize for the delay, edublogs was experiencing some technical difficulties. Here are is the First Six Weeks Test Review and Answers. For an additional bonus on the test tomorrow, put the first 5 digits of “pi” underneath your name!
The secret can be found in the “Homework” Section on your left! If you have any questions before the test, come see me tomorrow morning before school and have a rockin’ good day!
Due to Benchmark testing, the caledar for the rest of the Six Weeks has changed. View the updated version here. Please note, that this change has moved the next test over sections 2.7, 2.8, 3.1 - 3.3) to THIS FRIDAY September 26th. This also gives us time to review on Monday September 29th for the Six Weeks Test on Tuesday September 30th.
Our Second Test of the Six Weeks was yesterday, Wednesday 9 - 18 - 08. If your student was absent, they need to schedule a time to take it ASAP, outside of class. There are only two more tests left this six weeks, so let’s help your students finish with a bang! I’d like to remind you of my tutoring hours:
M - F 8:15 - 8:45 and T/Th after school 4:15 - 4:45 (by appointment during lunch or other times)
Also, other Algebra 2 teachers may be available to help before and after school, everyone’s tutoring hours are posted outside of their door. Other resources include go.hrw.com, which is an excellent website with instructional videos, extra practice, interactice quizzes, etc. Just follow the necessary links to the Algebra 2 book and find the particular section number we’re working on (assingments are posted by section number and are also located on the six weeks calendar).
This is a great group of kids and I’m already impressed by their behavior, work ethic, and attitude. I know this will be a great year!
Progress reports for the 1st Six Weeks are already due! Your student will get a Progress Report Today in class that shows their current homework, quiz, and test grades. The average is at the top right hand corner. This is only a mid - way point for the six weeks but gives a good idea of how your child is performing. Please sign these sheets and have your student turn them in by Tuesday of next week. Our Next Test is WEDNESDAY September 17th.
