3. What do I do if I’m absent?
You’ll need to check in with the office to get your absence excused. When you return to school, you’ll need to come by before or after school to get your missed assignments. Please do NOT use class time to ask me for assignments and please wait until I am done teaching the whole group before you get up to copy notes, etc. All make up work is due 2 days after your return to recieve full credit.
4. How often will we get our grades?
I will work very hard to get your things graded and entered in a timely fashion. Generally speaking, I will hand out/ email progress reports once every other week or after every test.
5. How many points off do you count off for late work?
Due to school policy, I must accept late work within 2 days of the original due date for a grade not to exceed 70. If it is late, you must come before or after school to grade the work yourself. If you just put it in the tray ungraded, it will stay that way.
6. What do I do if I need to go to the bathroom?
You need to take care of that between the passing periods. However, if it is an emergency, you get two hall passes per six weeks.
7. What happens if I miss a quiz?
Quizzes cannot be made up, this is to encourage attendance and participation. However, if you miss any quizzes due to an excused absence, I will replace that grade with the next test that corresponds to that material. You can get a copy of the missed quiz upon request.
8. What if I miss a test?
If you miss a test due to an excused absence, you need to make it up within 48 hours of your return. Remember, the students that were there for the test, deserve to get their tests handed back to them in a timely fashion, so if you have not taken it within 48 hours, you will recieve a zero. Do not fret, one test grade will be dropped every 6 weeks, so just make sure you’re there for the others!
